The most important thing we could ask you today is:
Do you know where you will spend eternity?
Eternity is real, and it's a long time. You can't afford to live this fragile, short life without thinking about the forever that will follow it. The Bible says:
It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. [Hebrews 9:27]
Going to church or being a nice person will not boost anyone's standing before God at the judgment because we can't possibly be good enough to erase the fact that we're not perfect.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. [Romans 3:23]
Despite our sinfulness, God still loves us; He still desires a relationship with us. So at a tremendous cost to Himself, He made a way for us to spend eternity close to Him in heaven.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. [Romans 5:8]
Christ died, was buried, and rose again the third day - for you and me. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our wrong-doings with His own blood, and God offers you pardon on the basis of what Christ did.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. [Romans 6:23]
Have you taken the gift? The stakes are too high to not carefully consider your eternal destination.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. [Acts 16:31]
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. [John 3:36]
